At WITH YOU MAMA, we are guided by the principles of human rights, child protection, and family support. These core values shape our work in the following ways:
We are grounded in internationally recognized human rights.
We uphold the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly in 1989 and ratified by Greece in 1992.
We support every child’s right to grow up in a family environment.
We support every woman’s right to have a safe pregnancy and childbirth.
We foster a climate of trust and collaboration with the families we support, encouraging their active participation in all decisions that affect their lives.
We strive to create a positive pregnancy experience by providing timely and continuous support throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period.
We advocate for the free provision of quality Early Support and Care services in Greece and for equal access to these services for all families who are entitled to them.
We work to empower families during the early and often challenging stages of parenthood.
We support the development of quality in child protection through a dialogue-based approach. We use tools and methods developed by leading European expert networks focused on improving Early Support and Child Protection services. These include the Kronberger Kreis für Dialogische Qualitätsentwicklung – dialog-kronberg.de and the Netzwerk QE-WiPrax at ASH Berlin – Netzwerk QE-WiPrax | ASH Berlin
Our Purpose
The purpose of WITH YOU MAMA is to provide a comprehensive program of Early Support and Care services to pregnant women and mothers — from pregnancy through to one year after childbirth.
By offering free care and support services, WITH YOU MAMA aims to promote prevention, enable early identification, and ensure effective intervention to support families through the challenges they may face during this important period.
Our Specific Objectives
1.
To promote the physical and mental health of expectant mothers during pregnancy and childbirth, and to provide specialized care to every mother and her newborn.
2.
To support and empower both expectant mothers and their families in taking on their parental role, and to help nurture a healthy parent-infant relationship that enables children to achieve their full developmental potential.
3.
To ensure the creation of a safe environment for every woman — one she can turn to with confidence both before and after childbirth.
4.
To develop support networks for expectant mothers — through partnerships and actions across both the public and private sectors — with the goal of facilitating their integration or reintegration into the labour market.
5.
To build a community of support for expectant mothers who face challenges due to isolation caused by the lack of a supportive environment.
6.
To support pregnant women, mothers, and their families in accessing free early support services and programs, both during pregnancy and after childbirth.
7.
Networking and cooperation with organisations and institutions that promote the improvement of perinatal care for mother and baby.
